SCHOLARSHIPS
The following scholarships are available from the State and Central Governments to the students of categories A, B and C

A. Backward Classes Welfare Department : (For B.C. Students only)

Backward Classes Welfare scholarship.
Eligibility :
  1. Parent’s annual income should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000
  2. A minimum of 75% of attendance in the previous year is essential

B. For MBC and DNT students only :

MBC and DNT welfare scholarship
Eligibility :
  1. Parent’s annual income should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000
  2. A minimum of 75% of attendance in the previous year is essential

C. Adi-dravidar & Tribal welfare Scholarships :

  1. Government of India scholarship (only for Hindu students)
Eligibility :
  1. Parent’s income should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000
  2. A minimum of 75% of attendance in the previous year is essential
2. State Scholarship (for Christian students only)
Eligibility :
  1. Parent’s income should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000
  2. A minimum of 75% of attendance in the previous year is essential
In addition to these there are other scholarships for the students under category C
3. Adhoc merit scholarship
Eligibility :
  1. The student must have secured 60% of marks or more in the Higher Secondary Examination in the first attempt.
  2. A minimum of 75% of attendance in the previous year is essential
4. Ghandhi Memorial scholarship
Eligibility :
  1. There is no limit for the parent’s income.
  2. There is no age limit for the student.
  3. A pass in the Examination in the first attempt iS essential.
4. Bright students, Prize money and Chief Minister scholarship
Eligibility :
  1. No limit for the parent’s income.
  2. No age limit for the student.
  3. The student must have secured 60% of marks or more in the examinations of previous year.
A student is eligible for only one of the scholarships 2 or 3.

Devi Charity

Devi charity will be offering scholarships and or financial assistance to a few poor and deserving students studying in any Day College (situated with in Tamil Nadu) in the first year of any Arts or Science or Professional Degree (UG) Courses.

The Tamil Nadu Educational Trust

The Tamil Nadu Educational Trust is awarding scholarship on merit basis to the students studying in Degree and Post – Graduate courses in Arts and Science and Professional Courses in the Regular Colleges of Tamil Nadu in the first year.

Student Aid Fund

The object of the scheme is to render financial assistance to poor and deserving students preferably those who are not in receipt of any kind of scholarship from Government or gift from private bodies.

Students whose progress is satisfactory, may be considered for the award.
