An awareness programme was organized by the Social Service League of our college for the students of the Department of Economics on 10th September 2025 on the topic “How to Become an Economist.” The programme was organized by the Department of Economics.

Mr.S.Kumar, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, was the Chief Guest of the occasion and shared useful tips about the topic. He explained that an Economist studies and analyses economic issues, policies, and trends. To become an Economist, students should pursue a degree in Economics, develop analytical and research skills, and gain practical experience through research projects and internships.

Dr.N.Kannan, Assistant Professor of Economics, hosted the programme, and Dr.S.Ravisankar, Associate Professor, welcomed the Chief Guest. Dr.P.Gopal, Associate Professor and Head of the Department, presided over the function. The programme was led by Dr.R.Uthamipriya, Assistant Professor of Economics.

Finally, the programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Selvi Sivarajani, III -B.A.Economics
